2024 Assessment

On April 21, 2023, the North Carolina Life & Health Insurance Guaranty Association Board of Directors authorized a Life and an Annuity Class B assessment.

On September 12, 2024, the NCLHIGA called the prior authorized assessment for the following companies.

North Carolina Mutual Life Insurance Company – date of liquidation 10/31/2022
Southland National Insurance Corporation – date of liquidation 05/02/2023
Bankers Life Insurance Company – date of liquidation 11/30/2024
Colorado Bankers Life Insurance Company – date of liquidation 11/30/2024

Any excess 2023 authorized assessment has been eliminated.

There will be no Class A or Class B assessment for the Health or Unallocated Annuity accounts.
